About Me

I'm Atefeh Jamil Pour, a doctoral student in Instructional Technology at Northern Illinois University, with a background in information and communication sciences, emerging media design, and human‑centered research. I explore how technology can make learning, information, and everyday digital experiences more accessible, intuitive, and meaningful, bringing together instructional technology, UX research, inclusive design, and educational research, with a particular interest in how AI, immersive media, and thoughtfully designed learning technologies can support diverse learners and communities.

I care about designing technology with people,  not simply for them.

My experience spans literature and academic‑database research; usability and interview‑based studies; research and participant documentation; and translating findings into clear, actionable materials for research teams, alongside a strong foundation in information organization, privacy‑aware service, and detail‑oriented administrative work through my role in university library access services.
